1. Introduction :-     India is famous for festival. There are      many festivals in india as Rakshabandan , Holi , Deshara,   Diwali etc. Diwali is the most important festival of the      hindus. 

2. When and why this festival is celebrated:-     This festival          is celebrated on Amavasya  in the month of kartic.                           This  festivas is celebrated in the memory of lord  Ram's returning to Ayodhya after an exile of 14 years.

3. How this festival is celebrated? ---- Some day before       Diwali, people clean and white wash their houses. They  purchase gold , silver, new utensils etc. At the night of           Diwali they blight their houses with clay lamps or                 electric bulbs.

4. Advantages of this festival :- Diwali is the festival of light .    this fesival brings onenes among us because the whole country celebrated this festival with a great enthusiasm. 

5. Its evils :-     some people test their luck by playing gambling          on this day. it is a blot on the name of Diwali.

6. conclusion :- Diwali is truly a national festival. From the    point of view of hygiene, it i very advantageous. Then this   festival will be afestivall or joy and merriment.
